A landmark in Killearn Estates, the Killarney Way Swim and Tennis Club celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2007and underwent its most extensive renovation including a complete resurfacing of the pool, updated lighting and the repainting of the bath houses. The Club is run by a non-profit corporation and is an economical way for a family to beat the heat during our steamy Tallahassee summers.

Pool Manager Alan Cox has been with the club for over 30 years, having gotten his start as a 17-year-old lifeguard. Cox and his staff offer an ongoing series of swimming lessons, starting in mid-May until the end of August, Water Babies at age six months and Learn to Swim up to about age 10. Both morning and evening times are available.

The pool was built by the original developer of Killearn Estates, J.T. Williams, in 1967 and then sold to a group of families in the mid 1970s. It was later turned into a non-profit corporation made up of Killearn residents and is totally membership supported, not a part of Killearn Homes Association or any other homeowners’ associations in Killearn.

Deck chairs and tables with umbrellas are provided and vending machines offer snacks and soft drinks. Members can bring their own chairs and coolers, though alcoholic beverages are not permitted.
